Blog Navigator preview

So you want to browse blog sites like you browse a news group?

Blog Navigator will be announced tomorrow but if you're feeling really frisky, you can try it out right now at http://www.blognavigator.com.

The free version lets you work over JoeUser.com pretty well. It will download what you list in the background. One feature that isn't apparent enough in the beta is the web search feature. Very useful. Just right click on the tree view area and create a new web search folder and it works like MS Outlook's search folders except here it uses various blog searching tools to find the words you're looking for.

The full version of Blog Navigator will work with any blog site out there that uses RSS. Blog Navigator is how we're hoping to pay for JoeUser.com.  So if you like it, we hope you upgrade to the enhanced version.

Very nice, will be purchasing the enhanced version soon.

One thing I would like though is the ability to be able to log-in to my JU name/account from within the program.

A few bugs still in it (I expect as much from beta apps), but all-in-all a nice solid program. On my next paycheck I may have to buy it.

Oh, and you can log into your JoeUser account in a sort of roundabout way. Whenever you're viewing an article, just click on the JoeUser Home link in the upper right corner of the browser window, and it'll take you back to the homepage where you can login via the login box on the right.

Something I thought of after playing with BN a bit more this morning:

I'd love to have the ability to update my blog from the app, sort of like the external applications used for LiveJournal.

Good.

Does this mean we can have multiple blogs instead of being limited to just 2?

YES. Familiar with the program used for updating E-bay listings? Something like that.

I have tried the "free" version which is fine as far as it went, so I put my hand in my pocket and paid for the enhanced version. So far I have been unable to add any additional blos sites that I look at, even though I know they work as I have them working through another program (I wanted a program that would pull all my Blogs togeather "in one place"). I am trying to e.mail Stardock for advice, so I will let you know how things go

I found a bug - I am supposed to be banned from posting on the forums, but If I am not mistaken, this will post fine?
