How to keep maximized windows from going into Object Dock Plus?

In the free editon, maximize would keep the window edge on bottom above the ObjectDock bar but once I installed the retail (Plus) edition all my maximized windows started covering up the object bar. There's a reseve space for the docked tabs why nothing for the regular bar!?
UPDATE: if you line up your object bar with your tabbed bars, then you can use the reserve space option but if you don't use tabbed bars, i guess you're screwed?
