Recycle Bin - drag trash to it?

Is there a recycle bin docklet that allows you to drag trash to the docklet icon in order to place things in the recycle bin?

And for that matter, is there a way to drag files over to application shortcuts that are within the dock in order to open that file using that application?

Ah, question of the day. At least to me. I emailed Stardock asking for them to include that feature a few months ago. They said it was an 'interesting idea,' but I don't know if they were just humoring me, or they actually liked it. Either way, the drag to launch hasn't been included (despite a good amount of requests).

We can only hope they're working on it.

I second (or third) the requested feature.

The built-in recycle bin docklet allows you to drag trash to the recycle bin in version 1.3. This is a feature that was not working properly in earlier versions, and I thank the Stardock developers for fixing it. Do not try the downloadable recycle bin docklet here, as that one does not work properly.

I didn't know that.
Thanks for the info.
Have to try it later.

thanks. I finally realized that you could delete items by dragging them over to the recycle bin. I guess i was doing something incorrectly.

However, I still wish you could drag files to program dock shortcuts and have the files open in that program. I can't wait to see what they come up with in the next version of ObjectDock!!

Not sure if this is exactly related - I have added the Recycle bin docklet to the OD. I changed the icons to an OSX look. If I drag a file into the bin it shows full. BUT, when I empty it, it shows full. NOW, if I add the default Recycle bin to the dock (two recycle bins - one default, one OSX look) it works flawlessly???? If I get rid of the default bin it doesn't work...with default works, without no workie. Any ideas here?
