deja vu in 1.11

I have played lots (and lots, my wife will tell you) of games of vanilla, beta and 1.1 and every galaxy has been different.

Odd thing is since loading 1.11 I have had 2 galaxies almost exactly the same as previous games. The race start points were slightly different, maybe due to random races tho.

Is this just chance?

After god knows how many hours struggling on my cyrrent game on masochistic I just realised that this is not the 2nd time I have encountered this star map, it is the third! It is sometimes hard to recognise when you are playing in a different part of the galaxy.

Maybe something we need in maybe 1.3 is more maps

Good lord, the possibilities of you getting the same random seed 3 times in a row is a near impossibility. Go play the lottery my friend, the gods of chance are with you!

Seriously, though, I havn't seen this, but can anyone verify this problem (that it's likely to get the same map multiple times). Thanks!

It definatly IS the same map 3 times. I am afraid I have that kinda memory. I could even walk you through the old wizardy maps from the 1980s games.
Funny thing is, I remember that, I can remember star clusters, all my old D&D adventures but cannot remember going to bed most evenings. That is the rum here I am afraid at about $1 a bottle. hehe

I only noticed it when I started in exactly the same place, it was only much later in the game when I uncovered the whole map I recognised a corner of the map where I started as the yor.

I DO play a LOT tho as I am kinda retired with other people running my businesses.
