It takes a long time to load and save gamefiles

Using 1.11? Load times are still long but it saves very quickly for everyone I've talked to.

Yeah while it took ~2 mins to save a lagre galaxy now it takes 5 sec or even less, 1.11 rocks but i have a problem with it too ... all in game text ( in diplomacy screen and completing research ) is squished on the left side. i dont know how to explain anyone has the same problem ?

Hello Calactic fans. What can i do. It takes about 1 minute when i save the game. Also the quick save functions takes such a long time. What can i do? I use the last update of GalCiv2.

What kind of system you got (CPU, Memory, Harddisk, Pagingfile size)?
Are you sure your Harddisk is defragmented and you have at least 5-10% free space on it?

These 2 factors CAN really destroy your performance.
The loading, especially of Huge/Gigantic games will always take some time, but the Saving of games is lightning quick for me since the update to 1.11.

if non of this helps, and your sure its not your system (IE your not playing on an Atari) try a fresh install and update usualy gets rid of alot of bugs.
