Influence victory unrecognized / unacknowledged

In version 1.1 (not 1.11), went to war for hundreds of weeks, eventually taking over 80%+ of civs. Went back to peace-time, but game didn't recognize Influence victory. Kept saying you need over 75% on Victory tab of civ mgr, but indicated 81% on the tab. Gave up and went for a tech victory instead, but should have been recognized by game.

Did you ever get the message like "You will win cultural victory in 10 turns?"

If you still have a saved game and/or debug.err file from that game, please send it to gc2bugs@stardock.com and include a link to this forum thread in your message. Thanks.

I have noticed the same thing. I once had three influence resources and ended up with half the map. My influence was through the roof, yet no victory came. It started in the later 1.1 beta's, I believe.

Version 1.11 - I am playing my first game on it. The evil AI's seem a bit more hostile to me than before. Not a bad thing. It was too easy getting an alliance with the Drengin's before. Now maybe they won't be so buddy-buddy with me.
Either it is just this particular game, or 1.11 produces more resources than earlier versions.

I'll try for an influence victory in some game pterry soon here, to see if the behaviour is the same in 1.11.

I once killed off all the majors in a normal setup scenario save for the drengin who I was allied to, but the game did not recognise the victory. It still said on the victory page that I had to ally with the drengin.

That was in 1.0 outta the box tho

The message "You will win in x turns" did not come up as I recall, but didn't happen because it took me at lest 50+ weeks more to get through all the research upgrades for a tech victory. Oh well, I'll keep my eye out for it, but maybe I will try to stop fighting just under 75% influence next time.
