Starbase Zone of Influence reduced in 1.1

I just noticed that in 1.1 the area of effect of starbases has been reduced? In at least 1.0X, any tile even partially covered by the zone circle was considered to be inside the influence zone. In 1.1 only the fully covered tiles are affected, not the ones at the border, with the exception of the ones at the center of the border in each direction (which is almost, but not 100%, covered by the circle).

If this is a bug, it should be fixed. If this is intentional, it should have been listed in the list of changes for 1.1.

I just found out, after attacking an enemy fleet from a square which was partially covered, and in the previous version would be under the influence. Needless to say, the battle did not go very well. In addition, one of my planets turns out to be outside the range of the economy base which was positioned to exactly cover two adjacent star systems.

not true actualy.
in the beta i had a planet that was over 5/6 covered by the zone, there was just alittle sliver. Under the summary said planet had no effects on it.
This is the way it has been and is now.

I actually noticed this fix when playing. As posted, the beta area was slightly too large. The new one is much more accurate.

Heroine4Life - I'm not quite sure why you are saying "not true"

I confirm what the OP stated. Back in 1.0 (up to 1.0x) if a starbase zone touched a planet, they got the bonus.

But ever since 1.1 Beta, you have to have a planet completely covered to get the bonus.
I also, did not see anything in the release notes stating it was a change, so I agree that it must be a bug.

-EDIT- I have not yet installed 1.1 final, too much oblivion
