Bug: Game Crashes With Leader Assasination Event

Every time the leader of a civilization is assasinated by someone in mine, the game CTD.

Yep, it does, Ive already posted about this hope they fix it soon , I can't play any further until they do.
It's a bad ugly game bug.

Thank you for bringing this one to our attention.

If anyone has a saved game from the turn (or even up to a few turns before) that this crash happens, please send it to gc2bugs@stardock.com. Please provide as much information you can about what civ it was, what planet, and I can force the game in the debugger to use those settings so that we can get to the bottom of this.

Another thing that would really help too is SmartException reports. SmartException is a free tool that you can download with Stardock Central (in Free Stuff). If you run that while playing Galciv2 and it crashes, SmartException will generate a detailled report that will provide us with the exact location of the crash. In my testing, I haven't had a crash on that event. I've tried all of the assassination events. None of them crashed for me, so there must be something I am missing.

Also, does the game crash immediately after you get the event message and image, or is it after you continue with your turn?

What is assasination ? I mean, I've seen nothing about this in the manual

Right after I click ok for the event, but when I loaded the autosave, the event didn't happen again.

I get the assassination event a few turns after I load my saved game ( auto and manual ) soon as I click done on the event the game CTD with a 'send / Don’t send' message.

Okay tried again but this time got the 'Scientist found corvette type ships on one of my planets' event, and got the CTD. So I don’t think its Just the assassination event but any event at this point in the game.
