I'm getting too many race abilities

Is this normal?

Heya, I haven't seen this on the forums yet (admittedly I haven't looked very far but I've had a browse, so at least I made a little effort

)
Quite often when I load a custom race, I will have extra abilities as though I'd put points into having an ability... Except that I haven't put any points into it and when I check up on it I don't actually have any extra points placed in that ability... Is this normal and I'm being paranoid... Or well have toher people found this... Also worth saying (I think) is that sometimes the game actually gives me too mant points when I chose/load a race sometimes so it'll say that I have -4 ability points... Erm... any info on this would be greatly appreciated... Ta loads

I've noticed this too, I think it has something to do with setting up a custom race and then patching the game. At some point I think they changed the number of points you get :/

I've had this happen as well, and if you check your debug.err file the game flags you as a cheater!

Are the abilities you are talking about logistics and soldiering? If so then that is not a bug it is the inherent bonus to the custom race.

Logistics I've come to accept because well it's always there; lol and yer I'm definitely not complaining about that, but as for soldiering... Erm... You sure about the inherent bonus cos I don't seem to get that one automatically...
Anyway, erm... unfortunately the bug is more than that, for instance I once got +25.... I think it was Social building, or that might have been +40% but I hadn't put any points in it and if I did it would revert to the value of the points I'd put it and wouldn't change back to +40% even if I took the points out again... I checked around a little and it seems that this has been added to a bug list somewhere so fingers crossed that it'll be fixed at some point
