How do I use rally points on gigantic maps

I have a problem using rallypoints , because i just dont see a way to make my ships gather in the right formation
I want to have warships gathered in fleets as they come in just behind the frontline, and i want to have Ships with troopers to gather in a different fleet.
Can anyone explain this to me.
I am playing on gigantic maps with 9 opponents on suicidal, so it would really help to have those rallypoints functioning

Just create 2 rallye points - one behind the other. Then designate planets that are creating warships to rally at the front point and those that are creating troop transports to rally at the rear point. Seems too simple.

And if you make those rally points into "Fleet" Rally points, (Choose "Fleet" from the rally point screen) it will automatically form them into fleets when they get to the rally point.

I've found that you have to create the rally point and set the planet to use that rally point BEFORE you begin building. Otherwise some of the ships will launch but won't move toward the rally point. Maybe that's a bug, but either way it's pretty annoying.

I set up companion rally points, ie "Att 1" and "Troop 1", like eferraro said.. Select "Fleet" so its automatic when they get there. Nice addition in v 1.1 beta is you can move your rally point, no need to disband, make a new point, disband, etc. etc. I launch my ships and then select the rally point instead of using a colony rally point but that is just a precaution by me as I change off production alot to manage my population and I end up with mixed fleets by accident.
