verticle taskbar and broken systray (MCP)

I'm trying to use a verticle taskbar on my desktopx, but the icons won't show up right. they repeat and overlap all the way down the bar. like, its set on 200px height. if i only have one program open, the icon sort of streaks down in a verticle column. how do i get them to appear normally? also, id like to have the program labels appear, but i can't adjust the font to make it fit.

systray: SDC, tools, settings, general - do you have enable MCP notification area support checked?

thanks, i already figured out the systray thing and fixed it. any idea about the taskbar?

no, I only got it to look right vertical once...but can't remember how.
