Crash bug - Upgrading ship design using an old Name

1.1 Beta 3 Bug The Bug:
--Steps--
Create a new ship design.
add a tiny hull (doesn’t matter)
Save it as "1" for example
Upgrade the design and save it under a new name; say "2"
//Notice that the "1" design is gone from the list even with a new name
//Originally this would create a new entry on the design list. Designs "1" and "2" would be visible.
Now upgrade the design again.
Save the design with the original name "1".
The game should crash.

How I found this:

I used to create a prototype ship and upgrade it with functional parts under a new name. Then I would have two designs, one prototype and one actual design to use in the game. In this way I can use the prototype design to create, scouts, or fighters, or transports and not have to recreate the ship every time. The only reason I tried upgrading to an old name is because I was wondering why no new design entries would appear on the list.

Be careful changing the code stardock! A serious bug has appeared due to some well meaning change.

I think my video drivers could be out of date but they have not caused any problems with the game so far.
And this bug is not related to graphic drivers by the looks of it.

I had the same problem, but 1.10[b3].015 seems to have fixed it. No more CTD's as of late.
