Races are out of whack (at least the way the AI plays them is)

Currently the Torians are just insane. Try the following: Start a map on tiny with all abundant (ie lotsa planets, lotsa stars, lotsa habitable planets), and pick the torians and the terrans as your opponents, both at intelligent level, and watch what happens. The Terrans take four worlds total (including their starting world), and then just sit there for a good 1/2 a year, twiddling their thumbs. The Torians, on the other hand, grab worlds at least as fast if not faster than I can.
A challenge is good and all, but the Torians are maybe a bit overpowered vs say the custom race because they get both Industry and Economic theory, which gives them a +10% to both economy and production, not to mention allowing them to build regular factories right off the bat. I know a lot of the other races get those two techs as well, but the Torians also get morale AND pop growth bonuses, probably two of the best picks you can take right now. I suspect that the AI decides when to colonise based on its population, so since the torians get pop growth they just keep going and going and going.....
The Altarians seem to do about "right" on intelligent, they colonise pretty quick, but nowhere near as fast as the torians. Same with the Arceans. The other races don't fare so well in my experience. My solution currently is just to start playing as the Torians....
One other refinement I'd like to see is a change to the races starting techs. IMO, the system for choosing the custom race techs works good, and I think they should change all the races to have starting techs that the custom race could possibly get. Currently the custome race doesnt have enough picks to get either xeno industrial theory or xeno economics, so I think those two should be removed from the races. I'm not saying all races should start with the exact same techs or anything, that would get boring. Have the terrans start with some of the communications techs, for example, the drengin would start with way more weapons techs, etc.Giving races a +10% boost to economy and social production on top of what they already have is a bit much IMHO.
I'm sorry if I sound like I hate the game or something, overall its great, I haven't been this into a tbs game since moo2 came out, and with stardocks admirable dedication to fixes and stuff I'm sure this stuff will be worked out in no time, hopefully by say 1.2 if not 1.1 (1.1 is probably almost done, so I can wait till 1.2). If nothing else, the Terrans do need a look at, their just sitting there way too long, and not being nearly aggressive enough about expanding.
