Starbase not where it can be.

I downloaded the latest 1.1 beta 2 and loaded my game from before the patch. Everything was fine. Then the Iconians started building Constructors like crazy, understandable considering they had very few holdings in the galaxy, I figured they were building Influence starbases and they did build them. A lot of them, but thats not the problem the problem is they also built mining bases in the middle of no where, not on any resource. They built 2 in close proximity to one of my planets and there were no resouces there and nothing in the middle of the starbase either. I would have taken a screenshot if I knew how.

they changed how starbases works.

The AI uses starbases to expand it's range. This may be the cause of the starbase-placement behavior you described.

Most definately is not a 3 space minimum for starbases anymore, woo 6 fully upgraded economic bases right next to each other wooo.

I've also seen mining starbases in the middle of nowhere. To expand the range one would be enogh and a influence starbase would be more usefull.

FYI

There's a button on your keyboard that sais 'PrintScrn' and it means Print Screen

Push it, open paint (or word or photoshop or whatever) and select Edit->Paste (or ctrl-V). Then you can save it and you have a screenshot. This is the simplest way but also not the best Quality. Try google for better ways/programs for doing this. GL.
