The "Morazania"´s END
A glorious battle, a hard fought victory

The sneaky human bastards got the drop on us. While at a tense peace, they builded up on Battleships and ambushed my elite "Morazania" carrier group: Morazania (the fleet’s pride), "Admirari" a Battlecruiser M-2, like the Morazania, but with some new tech and a green crew, "Hope", a Frigate veteran of many, many wars from one corner of the galaxy to another, and a couple of squadrons worth of snub fighters.
While our attention was turned to the Drengin, the humans were getting ready for treason.
I was about to order the land invasion of a Drengin planet when suddenly, my screen went to "battle" mode. To my dismay, 3 human battleships and some frigates were opening fire. They were concentrating in the "Morazania". Phasor and missiles, the bastards. I bet the Altarians sold them that tech!
I can only imagine the crew being surprised but, professional to the last one, manning their battle stations almost instantly, while the Battle group captain (Old N-69, good friend of mine, met when we were but small, almost non sentient, battery power minibots) started issuing orders in the cold, calculating manner that he uses even in the most desperate time.
Her shields took the brunt of the attack, but she was hurting.
The "Admirari" and the "Hope" opened fire instantly and at the same time, a tribute to the fine training of the Yor empire’s troops. The snub fighters scrambled and started firing like mad, barely denting the powerful terran plating.
And then, the "Morazania" returned fire. A surgical, perfect, precise, magnificent strike from the nannoripper batteries. You could tell, just by looking at her display of power, why the ship was feared by organic creatures in dozens of worlds. One of the human battleships went up in flames, hundreds of those pathetic, organic lives they seem to appreciate so much ending in the cold vacuum of space. The "Morazania" veered to attack another ship, already lunching her Harpoon missile batteries, when she got hit again.
And then, she was gone.
All was silent for a second, as I watched my beautiful, powerful ship disperse amongst the rocks floating in space.
The "Hope" and the "Admirari" responded with fury, not wasting a second to mourn, that would come later.
The battle continued for a while, and at the end, only the "Admirari" was standing in a nerve wrecking duel against a terran battleship, aptly named "Frogpond". "Admirari" fired the last shot, and it was left alone, its circuits broken, it´s hull breached, but alive. We had won, but at a terrible price.
At normal difficulty, huge galaxy, the two really great powers of the universe are finally going head to head, the pathetic Drengin will have to wait, and the Thalan´s will have a chance to rebuild the ruins that are their planets. The humans took me by surprise, and the game, that has lasted many hours over several days, has taken a new, exciting turn. Granted, I spice up things a bit (only that is how i really see my battles, I get really attached to my ships and imagine crews and officers and personalities).
Now, tell me this: Isn´t this one HELL OF A GAME?
