Umm... I think something's wrong

For some reason, the default party for every species is Federalists... I checked to see if someone changed the defaults for the species, but apparently not. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello? Anyone?

i wouldn't be surprised, its the best party type out there.
plus on hardest difficulty, AI = 200% economy, so federalist would give them +40% over you.
much better then measly morale or research bonuses

Alawon, you misunderstand. It's the settings when I start the game. Every race has a different political party (Humans are Federalist, Drengin are War Party, et cetera) that can only be changed before the game starts. And for some reason, the default for each is now Federalist. Like I said, I looked in the GalCiv file to see if someone had saved new custom settings, but there was no custom configuration there.

Anyway, could someone at least list the default parties for each race, so I can change them back manually?

No, they don't. It's just something that sprang up for some reason. I started a game last week, and they all had different governments. I remember that the Humans were Fed, Altarians were Pacifist, Drengin were War Party, and Iconians were Technologists... Beyond that, I can't remember.

Yes, they are all defaulted to federalist on the choose-race-screen. But that is for when you choose which race and government you are gonna be. When the code is creating the other races, it doesn't take into account anything that is on the choose-race-screen. You can change a races party, starting abilities, name etc. on this screen but it doesn't make any difference unless you choose to play it.
All AI races will still be the default race with a randomized party.
