Stardock Update problems and lack of response

Ever since the release of Galactic Civilizations 2, every time I'm notified that there is an update to Stardock Central (via the SDC system tray icon & bubble msg); SDC fails to do the update; but, it goes to Stardock Central and DOES list updates to installed problems. I've notified Stardock and the only response I had was to perform the "remove.bat", reboot my system, and reinstall Stardock Central. I performed all steps; but as soon as I activate the control tray, I am again notified of an update available. I click on the bubble message, Stardock Central opens and goes to Object Desktop update availables. Stardock Central DOES NOT update itself and tell me to restart Stardock Central like it used to do before the release of that frikkin game! Anyone else have this problem? Any fix? I again notified Stardock via an email a week ago and haven't heard squat, not even the old automated email response. What's up? I'm a PAID subscriber and gettin' no frikking answers!!!!

I have to ask first, what features are you missing out on? Relax, it's OK.

Download the newest version from stardock.
Install it on top of your current version.
Let it auto-upgrade.
Enjoy teh new and exciting 3-D interface with special bells and whistles for new subscribers and people with Z as the first and last letter of their nick.*

Also, if you buy GalCiv2 you won't mind ODNT hangups and lags. In fact, it can give you something to do when servers are down.

Sir Zubaz, I tried your recommendation and it did in fact update, ONCE! Today, version 2.30.388 was available for update. I clicked on the bubble message and Stardock Central opened; but, NO UPDATE rendered! I switched from the California server to the Chicago server and got same result for the update of Stardock Central----NOTHING!!! And regarding your quip about buying games, NO FRIKKIN WAY!!!! I never had a problem with Stardock Central upgrading itself until just after the release of GCII!!! I'm a PAID subscriber and I don't expect to re-install Stardock Central to get the upgrades! They need to fix the frikkin problem and re-installing every time is NOT the method!!!

Did it maybe occur to you that the Stardock Central server may be having issues? I don't have GC2,but the recent update showed up in Tray but not SDC.

Just a suggestion.....
Try unloading the component tray. I don't use it and I never have issues with SDC updates. I tried it when it first came out and had a few problems like you describe so I nuked it and no more problem.

As of today, version 2.30.395 was made available and it updated itself like it used to. Perhaps the code boys (and girls) at Stardock got the problem fixed. Let's hope so......
