Core ship needed technologies

I have the following problem/doubt :
When I reserched the sensors I saw that it was one of the 5 techs needed to create the "survey shi"p but... which are the other techs? I lost 2 hours searching in the tech tree to find the other 4 unsucessfully (I found only two of them) so to my question:
Do you know where I can find a list of all the core ships with, for each, the description of the required techs? I think that such info would help a lot on deciding wich reserch do first
I know that I'm a n00b, but please be gentle
