Need Advice On 3D Software

I know that there are a few free 3D programs available, like GIMP and Daz. I have been wanting to try one but don't know what's the best for me. I'm used to working with PhotoshopCS. I want something that is as user friendly as possible. I don't understand a lot of the technical stuff and terms, so I want something that will be as easy as it can be for a 3D program to learn.

Vue 5 Easel is another low cost program, but it's mostly landscape based.

I was more interested in the free ones that are available. I'm still recovering and not working. But I apreciate the input.

The GIMP is not a 3D graphics program.

I've checked out a few 3D apps, and I haven't found one I thought was simple. Sure, Bryce, and Terragen are simple enough, but not if you want to go beyond clicking buttons for default landscapes.

I don't want that. Landscapes aren't my thing and I'm really not looking for anything pre-loaded with bushes and tree's and all that. I just want to make some simple 3D things like characters and objects.

I thought GIMP had some kind of 3D program, I must have confused it with another free program. Thanks Koasati.

The only 3D program that I've found to be close to intuative is SketchUp. But it's mostly for architechtural sketches.
You will find your self having to sit down, play around, read tutorials, helpfiles and dedicate time to learn 3D programs.
