Ship Skeletons

Could we please have the ability to design ship skeletons? that is design a ship without any engines/weapons/shields/etc that is always available for outfitting from a special tab. Those ships will basically be the core hull + extras + (optionally) core module (ie, colony/constructor/frieghter/sensor/troop module/or none.
The skeleton ships should be easy to share or download, and it should be possible to see ALL of them from all your games in one easy to reach spot.
