Ship Redesign Bug

Have been playing the game on two very different pc`s and have upgraded both versions of the game to the latest 10x.
My point is that when i attempt to update starship designs it takes me to a blank design sheet, this is happening on both machines.
Is this something that i am doing or is this a bug or glitch?

I have the same problem since I upgraded, I'm not sure what's going on. the templates arent blank, they still have the jewelry, but all of the functional pieces are gone.
If this was done as a time saver, I dont see how that is supposed to save any time, as I have to rearm my ship every single time. I like to create fleet styles, and while the jewelry staying is nice, none of the armor or sensors stays, so that has to all be placed again.
