Can't open the Wincustomize website

Hi ,

I recently purchased Windowblinds 5 and some skin suites, enabling me unlimited downloads for one year at Wincustomize.com.

As of yesterday , Wincustomize's website won't open for me anymore. Instead I get a blank page with the words "Bad Request (Invalid Host Name)"

I've tried entering Wincustomize using my Firefox browser and then Internet Explorer -- with no success.

This problem just started-- before I was able to enter in.

What do you suggest I do if the problem is coming from my own computer?

It's not you.  The traffic from GALCIVII was a lot more than anticipated and it's overtaxing the servers.

thats unfair whe are paying for the site and galactic they dont did stardock will give us some extra day for the subscription?????

They werent expecting so many users apparently, new servers are on the way just have to be patient...

I really appreciate everyone's responses to help me on this!!

Thank God, I thought something funky was happening between my computer and the Wincustomize servers. I'll hang in there and be patient.-- Was just able to get into Wincustomize just now and finished reading the article on the server needing updating

i thought something weird was gonna on.....cause i was unable to get on sometimes as well?
new y'all were doin the new server thingy but didnt think it would take the site down...

good to see you back.....every so often (12 times a day) i need my fix (LOL)

frustrating to say the least. i couldn't care less about galcivII but it's serioulsy f****** wit muh flow. wut a man gotta do ta update a skin up in dis mutha*****!!??

I have no understanding of "Gangsta lingo" ...so your point didn't get driven home...

Also can be mistaken to be making fun of a race of people-- may have affected response to your pizza thread (My lack of response, for one)

well yeah...ebonics is fun...although i also do really good irish, australian, english and middle eastern accents. i see it more as poking fun at "people" rather than "races". it was a joke, lets save the political correctness debate for another time.

yes I just bought the windowblinds also, it worked for wahile, then poof-just like this person, I had the same respone--after I read what was happening, it is understandble..:

I'm just wondering why GalCiv is taking priority over WinCustomize. When WinCustomize doesn't load and comes up with an error, the GalCiv website still opens. Did they put the GalCiv site to have priority over WC on the server?
