Reproducible CTD when discovering a new star system

I have a reproducible CTD every time any of my starships enters a specific area around a number of newly discovered star systems. This CTD occurs when any ship of mine, manually moved, or via autopilot, enters the area around several different stars in my current game. I have had this particular CTD in each game I have played thus far of GalCiv 2. It has also occured in each version of the game, from the launch day right up until the current 1.0X.010. I have been combing the boards and have noticed 4 or 5 others have had the same CTDs occur. I can put together a save game with a ship placed right next to one of the "CTD zones" and can include my debug.err and SmartException files if this would be helpful. Currently this CTD is my only real problem with the game, and due to the Load Game issue, where ships move but time does not advance, this CTD is particularly annoying, especially considering I would like to explore these systems and may one day need to fight over them versus the AI. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a problem with this as well, but never really realized what it was.

My flag ship was on auto-pilot and was traveling into a system. Everytime it went it I had a CTD. I reproduced the problem about 4 times until I decided to just send the ship somewhere else. Then no CTD.
