How does trade bonus work.

According to the manual an Economic Starbase "increases the value of trade routes when your freighters pass through the area of effect". How does is exactly work?
For instance I have a trade route than brings me 10bc. I set up a starbase next to the planet the route originates, with a +10% Trade Post module. So, when a freghter move through its area of effect circle, the route suddenly brings me 11 bc? I can't figure this out from the Trade Screen, none of the figures are explained in the manual. Routes bring revenue like 4/12, etc, I wonder why it fluctuates like that, and how do I figure out the extra that was given by the Trade Post? Too confusing.
Also, about the "pass through" as written in the manual. If I set up another trade post, will the bonuses stack, or is it one bonus per route? If they do stack, if a freighter crosses a zone that is the intersection of 2 Trade Posts' area of effect, will I get 20%? Then if the freighter move further, exists this area of effect, then enter the area of a third Trade Post, will the bonus be +30%?
