The link posted by Citizen xFlukex works for me... whatever problem you're having, it's client-specific. The link is to download an .exe file... Are you behind a firewall, or do you have virus protection software activated, which might be automatically rejecting the download? I've seen corporate firewalls that do that, presumably home firewalls/virus protection can do that as well.

Here's the text of the link... when you put this into your address bar, do you get the same error? storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe

What browser are you using? I'm using FF, and it works fine. Looks like it works in IE as well (for me).

Definitely not the be-all-end-all of browser troubleshooting, but a couple of ideas you can try. Hopefully others can post up more ideas and you can get to playing this amazing game.

It works fine. Draaynk sounds right, it's got to be something on your end. You have something blocking you from accessing the .exe file.

The text of the link is:

http://storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe

Paste that into your address bar directly. Draaynk was foiled by the forum

You can also try right-clicking the link for xFlukex's post and choosing 'Save Target As...'

if IE blocked anything on WinXP, notification is given on the top of the screen and usually a link to access what was blocked. don't know how it works for d/l a file tho

There is nothing wrong with the link... still. You have any success yet?

Yes, I got it. But now I have a much bigger problem. A much... much.. bigger problem -_-

Im currently on a limited user account on my computer, because I forgot the password to my main admin account. I cant install Stardock Central because I dont have the permission to. Hahahahaaha Im going to die -_-

Oh, and yea, that link still doesnt work for me, but another one did that he posted in a different forum. Hah, I got it now, but it was weird

Well, there's no way around the administrator problem as long as you're a limited account. You typically have to be a full account to install many things. You could always download something to recover the password, or you could just reinstall Windows.

Thanks Crustacean, that link you gave me provided me with a very useful tip that I employed upon my smart ass computer, and now I am downloading GC2 via SDC as we speak.

I had to go into safe mode, log onto the admin account, and reset the password for my main User account that I forgot the password to.

Again, thank you
