HELP! Cannot install WindowBlinds 5- my plight

Help! A month or two ago, I decided to try the WindowBlinds full version- a free 60 day trial. I used it until the 60 day trial period expired, after which the program mysteriously dissapeared from my computer. I then decided to uninstall it (or whatever was left), and go back to the free version of WindowBlinds. Now, I cannot get WindowBlinds to fully install and work on my computer, for the life of me.

I install WindowBlinds, I immediately reboot my computer, as it says, and when my computer restarts, the WindowBlinds start-up logo does not appear, and there is no WB icon in my system tray. It just does not run. Instead, I repeatedly get 'WindowBlinds MUST be rebooted after installation. Restart Now | Restart Later.' Of course, I restart it, and I the same thing comes up every time. I've tried everything - uninstalling WB, reinstalling, it removing all traces of it on my computer via REGEDIT and installing it again- nothing works. I've never had this problem before until I used the 60 day trial version. Can anyone tell me why this is, and what I can do? My GUI looks sooo ugly and I miss WB

60 days is 60 days. Not 60, then reinstall. I believe I saw in an earlier post reinstall after the time runs out won't work.

Start saving up.

There is no 'free' version of WindowBlinds 5.  The only trial is the 60 day trial which you have used for 60 days and has now expired.

Where did you get this free version of WB5 from?

I did not mean I was trying to reinstall the trial version. When I say "free version," I just mean the regular, no-frills version of WindowBlinds. I am a poor college student, and using the regular version is just fine with me. I just wanted to try the 60 day trial to see if there were any real difference in quality.

the regular no frills version was also a shareware (try it, then buy it) version

The machine needs to be rebooted message is only in WindowBlinds 5 and WindowBlinds 5 only has a 60 day trial version.

There has never been a free version of WindowBlinds 4 or 5.  Only registered versions & the trial versions.  30 day trial with WB4 and 60 day trial with WB5.

Hello,

I'm a registered user of Object Desktop. I used Stardock Central to install WB 5.5 on Vista Business. I'm getting the same "need to reboot" error message. I've never had any trial versions of WB on this computer. I have UAC (User Account Control) disabled, and did when I first installed WB.
