Diplomacy: sort dumb how powerful it is:

So the Drengin declare war on me. No big deal... typical.
I want to throw the galexy into turmoil but can't pay off anyone to go to war with anyone else... so I dial up the Drengin (remember, we're at WAR) and say, listen- go to war with someone else too.
"OK" they say... for a VERY cheap price! And NOT me offering them peace...
Oh... OK... that makes sense. Gamewise, this is silly. I had decent diplo ability, but not godlike or anything.
The diplo game of trading techs, fomenting wars and keeping the whole galaxy off-balance is way too easy in this game as it has been since GCI. I complained then, and hope something will be done about it. It's even WORSE in GC2 now since the AI builds very crappy fleets and overvalues them, so I've been at war many many times and there's aboslutely nothing the AI can DO in the war except toss 3x the number of ships I have at my undefeatable fleets.
Pitiful. This is the "Intelligent" AI.
