Multiplayer?

I was wondering if there was any multiplayer and if there wasn't if there is any plan to add it in a later patch? I installed GalCiv2 on both of my comptuers and my cousin and I enjoy it a lot and thought about how much fun a versus mode would be where we could ally and stuff, though the save/load feature would be a requirement depending on some map sizes.

No there isn't and it might be added in an expansion if enough people want it and Stardock feels like it (even though I hope they rather put in some other nice features. ).

I am not sure where one would state that they would like multiplayer but I would at least put my name on the list. I do have one hardcore friend who I call and we play for hours on CivIV. I have read Frogboy's no multiplayer thread and see his point but if it is really an option for later expansions I would like to put my vote in for it.
