Simple Interface Recommendation

I would like to be able to double-click on the ship name in the ship list and have the screen automatically center on that ship. It's a feature I was used to in other games and could help streamline things. I've read the manual, and if there's a way to do this (not just for Strongest Ship or Ship With Turns Remaining) that I'm not seeing, feel free to correct me

As an aside, I haven't looked forward to a game this much since Age of Empires III. I was immeasurably more satisfied with this game. It lets me live out that "History of the Federation" Trek fantasy I have, at least until Star Trek: Legacy is released.

This game is a benchmark.

Doesn't clicking on ship picture center on the the ship, and also auto-pilot move it.

Yes, if you double click on the ship picture in the ship list it should center on the ship.

Also, if you have a ship or planet selected but you've scrolled away from it, you can hit C to center on it again.

Ok, clicking the ship picture. I was just clicking the general info box with the picture in it. Thanks a lot! Now I have to go back and change my review because you guys are too perfect... ::mutters happily::

On a related topic, other UI tweaks I'd like to see:

- A way to cycle between planets when they are selected in the context area without having to go through the pop-up list. This would make it very effective and easy to manage shipyard production. A simple L - R Arrow key combo would be enough.

- When I access the starport build screen from the planet screen,
1. when I select a design and click [return to planet screen], the ship does not appear in the build queue.
2. When I select [Done], the ship is placed in queue, but I get booted to the Galaxy screen.
... I'm thinking that the [return] button is maybe dysfunctional?

I think the game is an improvement over GC1 so far, despite a CTD and a system hang when playing gigantic games.
