Windowsblinds requires restarts

Not cracked

Hi, I'm using windowsblinds 5 and I can't even get it to start. It keeps saying Windowsblinds requires restarts even after I restart it. I saw other posts regarding this and people seem to get this from cracked windows activation. My copy is legit and I'm still getting this error. It is a corporate version which doesn't even require activation so there would be no reason to have any kind of crack on it. Can someone help me out? Is there any way to get this to work?

I got exactly the same problem.  I installed WB5, activated it, rebooted, and every time I tried to run it, it demanded a reboot.

For now, I'm sticking with WB4, as I don't have time to fiddle with it.  I suspect that it involves WB5 not being allowed to make system/registry changes, and that if I deactivated all my firewall, antivirus, and antispyware I could install successfully, but not sure I want to do that.

The problem is indeed caused by apps deleting / not permitting certain WB registry entries from being written.

Disable all your antispyware apps & reinstall WB.

Could it be because my windows is the 64 bit version and it trying to write it to the wrong location?

If you have the 64 bit version, try running wbinstall64 -install

Then reboot.
