When i use SDC OD+ doesn't show in MISC or anywhere else. It seems to me it should show as available to upgrade to... other items I haven't loaded are there. Blog, Aq Dsktp, etc.
How come I can't create a SysTray when creating a new object anymore? It's in the list, but all options are nonexistent and if I choose SysTray and click okay it reverts back to whatever the original object type (or the last one i chose before changing to systray.
Beats me, I'm watching and hoping someone will answer. i downloaded one theme but it never shows up in the theme list... ended up changing the dock one step at a time, changed the background, dock icons to what i wanted, then saved what I had as a theme. Now that theme is in the list. Once you have what you want, configure, then theme tab, then save as. Next time chose load theme and it will be there. but a shortcut to themes already created would
I see what you mean. I created a new object... no pic no sounds available. Deleted it, loaded one i had created before...deleted that and created a new...voila, options for pics and sound. Try restarting desktopx (right click on systray icon)... when i did that everything came up blank options on new created.
right click the object,choose properties,then states tab, then sound.. find the state that has the sound... highlight the sound and delete it.
i couldn't figure it out either... so i ended up changing the background and icons to what i wanted. Then in dock properites, 'Themes', 'save dock theme as' and give it a name. Once you have a couple, choose load dock theme to change it to another. I did like Scribe Essencay tute but i dont have plus.
I don't use netscape, so i'm unsure... is your mail a separate program? I'm not positive since I'm still new to this but i think it has to be. I just create an object, then call it a short cut, make it a file short cut, go through the list & if it's not there browse and go find the exe. I use incredimail so it's easy. Thats what I'm thinking. Just installed the new free version and it shows it(1.10)installed whereas previously it said 1.05.18 was available. I think SDC needs udating, which I believe was empty man's original point (at least that's how I saw it). Since he was referring to SDC I assumed he has a subscription as I do.
Stardock central will only show you the new versions if you have entered your registration. How would that work with a free version since there is no registration number? Seems to me that if there is a new version (not just an update) it would be shown as available. Tested whether an installed version

Finding XP sound schemes to individual taste is like looking for the proverbial needle. Much easier to collect various waves and go to Sound and Audio devices in Control Panel - Click the Sound tab and under Program events assign what you want.

AVIQuick was still at the link you provided. Others that will save as AVI are MGI Video wave & ArcSoft Showbiz (which came with my puter). Looking at your shots tho, I'm gonna give AVIQ a try since it seems it might be as easy as MS Gifanimator. Good info!
