Hi all, It's late. Was helping a friend build a computer on top of this bit of a mess of mine. I'm running WinXP Pro (SP 2.XX), Viewsonic flatscreen 22" and the resolution is set at and will remain at 1680 X 1050. It works best at that resolution and I realize that most themes are not designed for this large a resolution so I guess I need a work around so I can overcome this in the future without freaking out. Hi, I just paid good money for a nicer experience and yet I have a mess. I don't want to uninstall it all and start from scratch so I'm asking someone for some help to try to get back my taskbar. I am trying to get a version of WinXP Pro desktop but with WindowBlinds type of customizations. I don't mind the task bar, it's useful and I can load up little shortcuts to other folders I need to access quickly there. I thought I liked all the bulky, funness of the object docks and

Now I want to take a screen shot but my two screen grab programs (Print Screen and Howies Screen Grab) take the screen shot but all the png's are missing. So the Vista bar, fishy, clock, my new floating png image, weather gadget area all MIA! Please read all the info. I tried that already!

I need some help now. I wanted so badly to make a larger skin for the clock and well, the skin works, kinda..... Hiya, I was wondering if there is a way to have free floating png's on the desktop. There is another little known desktop shell that can do this and it's such a cool feature. Imagine having a background, say a creepy town or something and then load up a png with alpha of an old witch or creature that you can move around and then load another and then load up a moon.png and then some misty cloud coverage, layering in order to create your own customizable desktop theme. and a year from the original post (almost) asks, as an end user, why are there such a limited amount of gadgets available for the desktop at this point. There should be dozens by now but there are only 11 that came with my suite. Some work as expected some are OK. Silica Clock should have some different skins and a way to make the clock larger. It's so tiny! Anyway.... be nice if there were more. Glad I found this thread instead of creating another one.

Object Dock Plus.... where are the new options?? in ObjectDock Stardock Forums

Hi all, Getting pretty comfie with my new Stardock set up now. Got a fabu new Icon set and loving it so far - Utopia (Canvas). Gave in and got the ObjectDock Plus to upgrade my free edition. Ummm, can't find the new settings at all. I read up on all that this upgrade can do with tabbed areas and all that but I do not see where any of this is possible. Thanks for the kind advise. After my long note there I rebooted. The wallpaper reset it self but so did the last version of Windowblinds that I applied. I thought I had UNLOADED it but I guess it wasn't so it was applied and I like it well enough. I also found the fabulous Vista bar and I'm in love. Got my virtual desktops redone and in place and still have my very favorite and very viewable Tahoma fonts
