Thanks to all for helpful information. Despite ~30 years with Windows and many years with Stardock, the settings interface with Curtains isn't obvious in terms of what does what. I don't see documentation, yet, but I would recommend this as Curtains is more complicated, at least to me, than WB in terms of what does what. I mean, Button Background Blocks, which I did glance at, doesn't seem to address the issue of X color...but I'll give it more attention and see how it goes. Cheers</p

Finally, I don't see a setting for color of X in upper right-hand corner. Changing the secondary color (which was red in the Style I'm using) didn't change this from red to revised color. Thanks for any help on this.

Found the font setting in Different.CURTAINSTYLE file for selected Curtain Style folder. Surprised this isn't in style edit section.

Okay, I figured it out. I took screen capture of another cursor, opened it in PS, selected background and then inverse, changed colors and saved it to same name as cursor I'm replacing, copied this to Theme folder in CursorFX folder and then imported it within editor with cursor to be replaced highlighted, then save. I have looked at this editor and it doesn't appear to provide a means — unless I've missed it — to replace an existing icon with the same one that has a different color — meaning screen captured, recolored in PS and then copied over the existing one in editor. I tried simply copying one cursor in the set onto another in the same cursor set and it didn't work, so I'm assuming my plan won't either. Is there an editor for opening up cursors or will renaming the file extension to something else work? I'm thinking I might try copying the cursor (Hand) in question and altering colors in Photoshop, but then I'd still have to replace original with revised one. The theme editor doesn't seem ideal for this. Cheers

Hi. I also found that hue only effects some cursors. The cursor set in question is Glyx, which has a number of cursors with color except for the one in question, which is Hand. In the previous version of CursorFX I could create different color versions of cursor sets, but I don't remember how I went about it. If I could copy and paste within CursorFX4 I could probably resolve the issue. Thanks for quick reply to my post.

Well, I've been using CursorFX for so long I've forgotten how I used to change cursor colors, and I have one cursor in CursorFX4 I like that has a dark grey on black select tab cursor I can't see easily on dark backgrounds. I used to change colors all the time in files, but I can't remember how I did this and there's no documentation for new version. Please refresh my memory. :)

Actually it was very helpful! The part that made the difference was dragging desktop shortcut to OD directly rather than using link within the shortcut to create OD shortcut. It hadn't occurred to me to drag shortcuts to OD itself. Always something to learn. Thanks so much! Ed

Well, I'm using the Target link in Properties (right-click on Pandora in Universal Apps), which are also in Start and pin to desktop/taskbar. They are identical. Normally I would simply link to Pandora app, but it doesn't seem to have created a location for executable in Program Files or PF x86. I looked in AppData but it's not in Local or Roaming either. The Pandora app from Microsoft Store install creates a link in Start 10 Universal Applications (Start 10 right-hand panel). If I copy the link to ObjectDock, Win 10 say it can't find the path, but if I pin the Universal app to Start or to taskbar, it opens without issue. What might I be doing wrong in ObjectDock? The reality is a lot of skins are only useful with the OS, and even then Explorer menus can be almost unreadable with some permutations. For 3rd party apps the problems of usability persist if the skinner hasn't used the apps in question. Nonetheless, carefully chosen skins make Win 10 et al far more attractive than what MS offers. Segmentation of comoditized markets, such as desktops and laptops, says there are opportunities for Stardock and others...but, they have to be known to those who could be interested. Well, there is sometimes quite a difference between aesthetic issues and usability issues, and for me OD actually offers the best of both. I'd prefer seeing two different products that give customers a choice. I don't use Fences or Groupy, for example, because I have alternative ways of organization that keep desktop very clean. I use WindowBlinds, Cursor FX, Start 10 and Object Dock on Win 10 without any issues. Don't know why latest email newsletter said OD doesn't work on Win 10. It may perhaps depend on Win 10 release because early on there was a file corruption issue on one of three Win 10 machines that required uninstall and reinstall, but that's only a guess on the basis that this has never occurred before or since. Rather than go through all of this I chose to use a utility that forces the taskbar to transparency for this install. Works nicely. BTW, the current version, 10.74, keeps trying to upgrade (to itself) on desktop and both notebooks.
