#19 by Frogboy [Stardock] Wednesday, October 05, 2005 3:48:33 PM Editors won't be comign with GalCiv II. We have some editors but they're no where near any condition you could give to end users. We'll look at creating consumer based editors for the expansion pack. Cant you atleast make a map editor? Or are you refering
Astax
I think reason we all dread RTS is because we are aged and the little kids pwn us :/
REDO STELLER FRONTIER WITH GALCIV2 ENGINE IN REAL TIME WITH DEDICATED SERVER
Editor could just be a map editor. More than likely for modifying most things you will need to know XTML (Or whatever its called) putting it out of reach of average geek who is mentally drained at his work and just doesnt want to bother and have fun with a PC game. However there are some Ubergeeks that will make some MODs.
Lowa11, America is not a Democracy, nor is there a Democratic society in place anywhere within its boarders (Baring few basements and backyards). I could go into a lengthly disertation about this, but Im not an offtopic troll.
TBH A lot of talk about 360, but not a lot talk about games for 360. We all know what happens to counsels that dont deliver the games...
You are not the first, Dano12 had the same problem...
I must start sucking up to get into private beta!
We need a sticky with the directions how to get it,c ause we get atleast one of these threads a week.
This is continuing to spiral out of control. Don't worry, after release, we'll put up a pre-order form to see if there's interest -- as in dollar interest -- in a multiplayer add-on. Thank you Frogboy, this actually seems like a good idea. If infact this game is pushed into mainstream there may be a bigger intrest in Multiplayer, n

Says no starport on this planet but I have it clearly selected
Simular to Birth of Federation. Seems a good idea but not necessary unless you have simulteanous turns (Multiplayer?).
Just cross your fingers and hope for expension if you really want multiplayer, because that's the only way we'll get it. I got no problem with that
I personally thou dont like missle graphix, I think they need to be a tad tweaked.
Alpha Centarui had excellent ground combat. Yes and and X-Wing had excellent sapce combat *rolls eyes*
PLZ find a way to make the cursor not be stuck at edge of the screen in some games. Cause its fine for most games, but in shadowbane that leaves my camera rotating nonstop It ruins the spyign capability.
I hope one of the religions is Atheism Else I might have to stick to communism and uproot all the conquered churches! There should have made a concept fo state control vs spiritual control and made em mutually exclusive. Either way it is opression, just have to choose what side you want. And all free governments shoudl have a penalty to religous buildings, since we see can plainly see the effect freedom and prosperity has on religion.
Genius of UO was that there were no levels. Everythign was a skill and you had 3 attributes which you could raise. Skill cap and attribute cap didnt lock you in because you can rework the skills. You could be a mage with high intelligence and change to a warrior with high dex (Thou it took time). So your character was never locked in or bound by anything. This also created the ability to ake any skill cambo template, altough only few were viable (Every character needed healign prettymuch, be it
Moo3 was a step back, not forward. Plus it was buggy as hell cause it was such an obvious rush job to meet galciv 1 to market. Totally lame. I read the dev journals and it was so obvious the budget was cut and cut and cut probably to 25% of the original Thou with some patches the game is playable, but incredibly dull and boring. Main downfall is the fricke interface, totally retarded. A moo game that would use galciv2 idea of zoom
Game is fun to level to an extant, but once you hit the wall (lvl 60) its just a friggin bore! 100 hours to get one friggin item? And you need how many items? 13? GG Blizzard you are total morons. Just a classic case of nothign at the end of the tunnel sio they just made the tunnel longer. Its more than obvious the game shipped totally unfinished and they were just thinkign they could add crap in as the time goes on. It's pretty discusting.
