If this is a major change, Pixoria hasn't stated official. One must dig through the forums to really get an idea of what 2.0 will be. Stay tuned for more info on 2.0's release! :)

Hi All, I was surfing the net like I always do and came across an interesting site call Link It looks sort of interesting. The idea is that if you don't have anyone to tell your grief to, you can tell the guys at griefticket.com and for a $1.00 they will send you an email reply back about your grief. Nice for those of you would like to tell something to your boss, mother-in-law, co-workers, but c

"With the advanced features of Quartz Extreme," said Eric Reid, developer at Stardock"... ..."For instance, imagine having windows look like they're being sucked into the dock when the user minimizes a program? The possibilities are endless." Brad has stated on a previous forum posting that Stardock HAS

I remember reading somewhere on Stardock's site a few years ago that to use the DesktopX plug-in SDK and use the plug-ins created with it. It was required that one was needed to buy a license. This was before the release of DesktopX Pro and the option to create an unlimited amount of EXEs for commerical use. Does my DesktopX Pro license include the ability to use the Plug-in SDK for use in DesktopX widgets and gadgets? Do I have to paid to use the plug

Great pack. I love the Guardian Skin. I am not sure if it was designed to be compatible with the custom color option in Windowsblinds, but it work great with it. I didn't like the green too much, but the blue color I got from playing with the hues and really really nice! Keep up the good work.

Maybe Stardock can release a mini "patch"/"update" to update the installer to include the licensing changes. I know how it can be sometimes. You are so excited about releasing a new version that you forget to update the legal stuff. And we all know that is the best and most favorite part right?

If the term has been around and people still use it. Doesn't BestBuy have to challenge EVERYONE of them in court to still keep the trademark? It's that part of the trademark laws. I saw a similar case with Apple an their trademarks. To keep that trademark active, you have to actively challenge any misuse of it. Else lose it. Comments anyone?

Yippe! I can go nuts. I like going nuts! In a nutty type of way. Wow, a complete developer's kit for only $70, are the Konfabulator folks listening? Lasted I checked they were saying EXE support was in question due to the fact that it could render Konfabulator as a program less needed. (Not useless since it would still be used like DesktopX Client is being used.) One question Frogboy, what happen to Windows 98/Windows Me support.

If BestBuy owns the trademark Geek Squad™, then wouldn't you need a license or okay from BestBuy™ to use the trademark. Also, what does Stardock have to say about this? Does it violate any licensing agreements with Stardock to use trademarks with Stardock products without the owner's written premission? I am just wondering for my own information since I will be willing to develope some DesktopX objects that use trademarks. Some come existing examples c

Alberto, Great product, I love it! You mean there more for Desktop 3.x line to come? Wow, I through it could do enough, but if there's more, yippe! If you could (and Brad/Frogboy) please read my entry entitles "DesktopX 3.0 Pro is Great but..." in the OS Customization section. It concerns questions about the DesktopX 3.0 Pro license and Widget and Gadget ownership and resellability. Since it seems like I can sell anything else I

Okay, I got my license for DesktopX 3.0 Pro and love it. It works so much more smoothly than DesktopX 2.x. I think I can safely say as of at least now that Desktop X 3.0 Pro runs as smooth if not smoother than Konfabulator with the set-up I currently have in run-time mode. (Not the developer/builder mode.) I was reading through the documentation and licenses that are attached to DesktopX 3.0 Pro and it states that I basicly fully own the

I contacted Stardock Sales a few weeks ago around the time of the first notice for DesktopX 3 and asked them if there was going to be a upgrade discount for Desktop X 2.x registered users to Desktop X 3.0 Pro. (Not just for Object Desktop users, as with most programs.) Simply, will there be a discount from Desktop 2.x Stand-alone Enhanced Edition Registered users to a stand-alone edition of Desktop X 3.0 Pro? <img src="http://images3.stardock

I wish I could get the genie effect. This isn't fair. (Again I say.) First the Zelda Themes for Windowblinds were used and demoed on Stardock's homepage and video demos and then we were told that we in the US could never get them. (Without buying a disc from Europe, even through Stardock is based in the US. What's wrost Michigan, my home state.) And now we are told of a feature for Objectdock that we all want DOES exists, but we can never have. <img s

Brad I would tend to agree. If you can't give it out, then why even tell us it exists? That's not fair, especially for the people who brought ObjectDock Plus thinking they were getting the best and the CLOSEST thing to the Apple Dock as possible for the Windows OS. Now you stated that the genie effect is possible, but we will never get it. <img src="http://images.star

I just got around to downloading DesktopX 2.4. Wow, it so much more stable than before and a cleaner interface. I think I will be running both Konfabulator and DesktopX for the time being. I am just worried still about the weather object/widget erroring out again like in the past. (One reason I like Konfabulator so much, the weather widget there has never caused any errors and it have been running since last week on stop.)

Ed Voas stated this on Konfabulator's forum on Nov 9th... (He is one of the lead developers of the Windows Version of Konfabulator) I just wanted to see what Frogboy or others have to say. This sounds like it makes sense. I am a Konfabulator AND Desktop X User (yes, I am a paying registered user, not just a free user that hasn't "helped" the cause for both groups." "In fact, we are right in line with Desktop X. I verified this this AM.

What do others think? I just an trying to debate on buying Konfabulator. I already am using Desktop X and have been for about 2 years, but have not had a good time with it, since it crashes alot for me. Errors with different widgets and problems with widgets looking funny on the screen. Konfabulator has be perfect for the first 24 hours of used. I like what I see so far.
