Population seems to always grow at 200k per turn. I do not get the 100% growth bonus for having 100% approval rate - I still only grow at 200k per turn. The racial growth bonus seems also to be broken.

[1-Population growth does not double when Approval/Morale is at 100% (pop. seems to grow/shrink correctly at other approval levels)] Yes, I think I can confirm that. Is this a bug or a postmanual update ? Thanks Aldebert
Yes, cheats are disabled.
I have the same problem, but after mission 6. http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=199311
I played the first 5 missions (level = painful), and the scores were stacking normally at the end of each mission (total campaign score = 30k at the end of number 5). Then at the end of mission 6, I get - campaign score = 0 - mission score = 5130 or whatever - new total score = 5130 Why did I lose my 30k from the first 5 missions ? Did anyone have the same problem ?
Torians will have same money problems as you do
The Torians have no money problem. They do get "advanced trade", with economic exchanges. See http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=198165 [Message Edited]
"Trade" is disabled in this scenario. And the IA is cheating because it gets "advanced trade" after a while, which you cannot get ! (I finally bought it from him). Without any trade nor economic exchange, you can gess that money is scarce ! I just finished it at "painful", but I would not recommend playing it above "normal". It was really painful ... I focused on the 4 lower right corner sectors. Put 3 starbases in the upper left of these four, with max attack bonus modules. The
Thanks ! First, I'll finish the campaign to see if I can submit the score and then I'll try to contact Stardock.
Is the Metaverse re-registering process for Altarian Prophecy alone different from Totalgaming.net ? (I still can't see the option to re-register for AP).
And yes Campaigns can be submitted to the Metaverse.
Do you mean the whole campaign (at the end), or each scenario ?
Vive la Pomarje !
Because of the different serial numbers you must convert your old scores, submitted under your GalCiv serial number, to the Altarian Prophecy serial number in order for both your old and new scores to show up together. On the Player Registration page there is a separate section for you to convert your serial number. Enter your Altarian Prophecy serial number there and press the convert button.
Thanks for your reply. I have my Altarian Prophecy serial number and alrea
I just upgraded to AP and it seems that I can't submit the scores of the campaign scenarios (I do get the Metaverse screen). I tried to change my serial number under "register player" on the Metaverse page, but it doesn't work ("wrong number"). Is there something to do after upgrading ? Or maybe the Campaign scenarios scores cannot be submited ? [Message Edited]
Westmalle ? :d [Message Edited]
Yes, always 2195-2205 (I play mostly gigantic, habitability rare).
A quel niveau joues-tu ?
Great news ! ;)
Just select "create a new post". I suggest "Crashes in french version" as a topic.
I would advise to open a new thread on this forum to get an answer from Stardock (or contact french distributor Nobilis). Most of us have the US version. French version just hit the stores a few days ago. Also : the germ
SEIV includes very nice features such as planet differences, ship design, races customisations, ... But they failed completely as far as AI is concerned (the game is designed to be multiplayer). Galciv is quite unique these days (i.e. not multiplayer). It ensures that the devs will have to keep the AI good enough.
No, I didn't. And, from where I am, I can still see my old score of 26066 ... :notsure:
For Grand Admiral Sherbert :
on 31.october my son Leonard was born, and with an age of 2 days he was the youngest GalCiv player ever
(quoted from Leonards Papa)
Bon, OK.
Thanks Qui-Gon Jinn, your method is handy (#8). Not as handy as would be a proper relocation of the RP, but quite useful.
Thanks. I agree with you for defenses, shipyards, and purely cultural resistance improvements. But many improvements have multiple benefits and one have to look if the useful ones are worth the maintenance. And this depends on other factors such as your tech level, bonus stats, etc. (e.g. if your morale is already 100 everywhere, yes you can decommission a lot of things.)
