I'm going to see if I can simulate this again, but... I was moving on the map and just trained a Basic Spearman and got the group together. I was moving towards an Inn, when I encountered an Champion fighting on the map. I was trying to attack the Champion, when he moved forward and only my Soverign moved forward to attack, effectively a blank space. He swung his sword and then, crash to desktop. If something this small caused you to "not buy it" you probably weren't going to buy it in the first place. As someone who's worked in retail the customer is always wrong. I love how quick people are to jump to conclusions. I could clip a part a of a conversation that makes it look bad for one party and post it, when in actuality, something else could have happened. Nobody but a handful of people know the whole story.

As of September of 2008, Sins had sold more then 500k copies. Not sure what the final number was, maybe some one can enlight us, along with the numbers of copies sold of Gal Civ 2. Yeah, Valve is a big company, but sometimes they let it get to their heads when they start making sub-p

As an aside impulse is complete crap compared to something like Steam. It is subpar and unless you greatly improve all aspects it will become a negative in purchasing your products.
??? Impulse is perfectly fine. In a way, I like it better then Steam. Steam is slow at delivering patches. Also, patches are manditory, you can't choose

I got to agree on this one. It's really hard some times to focus on your character when something massive is in the way, or when you die, sometimes the camera angles just make their own idea of what you are looking at now. Please make a way to manually use the camera, even if it's a middle mouse button and turn or something that we can key ourselves.

I think Demigod should be on the GamersGate digital distribution services. I think Paragon and Stardock would be a match made in heaven. [e digicons][/e]

Wait 30 minutes to start a game, finally get inside, one or two people leave, ok, AI takes over, there's plenty of us inside to continue. But then I get phonecalls, places to be, people to see so yeah, I rage quit cursing everyone for that 30 minutes wasted. My concern is of the future. P2P doesn't allow for proper control over cheaters. I see big problems for this game when that time comes. [/q

At least in a client/server one lagger doesn't affect your game.
Depending on the game, one lagger can affect your game on a dedicated server. Then again, it depends on how many different copies are being used on that server, how many people are using those s

I've also noticed that if you are playing one of the four Generals, the AI will update the fortress. If you play one of the Assassins, they will completely ignore the updates and leave it up to you.

Sometimes, you'll end up buying the game and playing through it and go back to the review and then truely wonder how much time that reviewer spend on the game. I've seen instances, where if the review played a bit longer, things that he griped about were resolved or changed to make things easier. I still remember Suikoden IV getting docked for how slow it takes for the boat to move between islands. What the reviewer didn't know was that you could actually press a button and speed up t

I had sound popping issue when I first bought HL2, years ago. Had the same issues with VtM:Bloodlines as well, and it turned out to be an Engine issue. With that said, I've read on countless forums that people have problems with SoundBlaster cards and sound popping. I've experienced this same problem with my on-board RealTek sound, due to they cannot write drivers to save their lives and when I would upgrade, every game would start to pop. You might want to downgrade your drivers and
skirmishes are boring, atleast to me, their what you do after youve finished the story and dont want to uninstall the game just yet and i have little itnerest in multiplayer, multiplayer and skirmishes are the least importent part of the game, im sorry. with all due respect all this game is, is a homeworld clone with a little added economy and no single player campaign, this is just a glorified MMO
Ten players isn't an MMO. I have situations where one of my ships in my fleet will literally jump into another systems, while the rest will continue to fight and form up. I've had many moments with a solo ship, "Forming Up" and just hugging the outskirts of the gravity well. Even when I move the fleet, it will wander off and do it's own thing. I'll screen shot it if it happens again, but it's an off and on type of thing. One game, I'll have it. The next game, they'll act normal again.
You misunderstood me, I think. I want the option to turn the Pirates off and not have it catastrophically affect game balance, the AI or the economy. I'm not sure how much clearer I can say that. Do I wish that Sins had been developed in a way that Pirates wouldn't be a core game mechanic? Yes. Do I wish that the extreme importance and omnipresence of Pirates had been more transparent before I became excited about this game? Yes. But that ship has sailed and now all I want is a w
