I am having graphical errors when I load the game. I get the initial selection screen but the New Game button is barely readable. Sometimes it flashes with a regular button background so for a moment it looks like the Continue Game (which is greyed out), Load Game, Metaverse, Options, or Quit buttons. Usually it is just a dark spot with slightly lighter text. It works when I click it though. Then I get the Galaxy Setup screen. The Next button on that screen is
Have you looked to make sure the "Show Pre-release versions" box is checked?
I have a slow (dial-up) connection so it took me some time to download the beta. I let it run overnight. When I got up it was downloaded and installed. It asked if I wanted to run the game immediately. I replied 'No' as I had other things I needed to do right away (though it is difficult to think what could have been more important). When I returned I ran the game from the start menu and got the message: The application has failed to start because d3d9.dll
And I think the water park has an anti-grav slide where you actually go up! Make sure your swim suit is tight.

Excellent look to the screen. Is there any customization to what planet info can be displayed? Perhaps based on scanner levels?
This means you may want to keep some freighters ready here and there for such logistical moves. It also means that, when attacking an enemy starbase you can have ships tasked with keeping the enemy at bay and you get a nice prize out of it.

I have not noticed any information on how Fog of War was going to be handled in GC2. I have a few thoughts on the topic. I have seen several different implementations of Fog of War. 1) In some cases, once an area was visited (but you no longer had a presence there) you could always see what was there just as if you had a presence there still. 2) In some cases once you no longer had a presence you could only see what was there for
