I agree with Stephen 100%. By the looks of things some people on here make Window Blinds and Stardock their life. It's a little disturbing and spooky when you think of it. There is way more to life than spending every minute on this website and customizing their PC. By the way... this is a warning to anyone trying to download WB4 on KaZaA - there is a virus in the file as I found out the hard way last night (thank God for Norton Antivirus)

It's Wingarbage! I am having the same trouble, but when I click on the empty thumb nails, it is so slow to load (if it actual loads). It's worse when you try to download something and it comes up with the "page cannot be displayed" error message. I even tried different web browsers, but it doesn't help. Good site they have here! >

I was seriously considering purchasing object desktop, but I have been following this message board for quite some time and it seems to me that there is nothing but problems. A lot of people have had so much trouble with windowblinds and various skins, including the icon packager that I'm starting to think twice. Most stable and trust worthy - Windows 2000. I have used every OS and Windows 2000 is the best. Windows XP isn't too far behind but in the past 2 months that I have been using XP, it has been unstable a few times and it also seems to use a little more memory. Windows XP has a nicer appeal to it but not as stable. So my vote goes to Windows 2000.

Why would you want XP Pro? If you are going to be doing net working or something, then I could see, but if all you do is surf the web then there's no point. I personally have XP Pro, but I don't need it. I could have saved some money and bought the home edition and it would have suited me just fine - You really have to ask yourself what are you going to be using XP for? There's no reason to buy something because it has lots of features and you're not going to take advantage of these features

Wow Fuzzy, that is expensive. I live in Canada and the price of gas here is 75 cents a litre which works out to be $2.83CDN a US gallon (I think, if my math is right). Next time I hear people complain about gas prices here, I'll mention about the price of gas where you live so they'd shut up.

I'm not too keen on vehicles with large engines, especially with the price of gas now. As long as it gets me from point A to point B and doesn't cost me an arm and a leg, I'm happy. I'm driving a '92 Corsica now and my wife drives a '91 Tempest with 250,000 km on it, so anything will be an improvement. I wanted a GMC Jimmy but I don't think they make them any more. Oh well, I like my GM and I am not towing or hauling anything, just a wife, dog and kids (in the near future) or I don't need any

This wasn't a good question to begin with on here. Almost everybody on here has bought OD and love it, so ofcourse they are going to tell you to buy it also. I, on the otherhand had an option - to buy Object Desktop or put food on the table for me and my family. Guess what happened? $60US seems like peanuts, but in reality, that's almost $100 where I live because of the currency. That $100 went to something way more useful like food or the gas bill. Yes, Keila, that's why I am not using it at the moment, but odds are I will re-install it and give it another shot. I understand what da_zman20 means about that gator. The first time it asked me if I wanted to install gator, I didn't know what it was so I said yes. Big mistake. I couldn't get rid of it until I replaced my hard drive - same with Xupitor (that's worse). I even had to warn my wife not to install any of these "spyware" crap that always seems to pop up.

I just installed the Registry Protector and as soon as I ran it, it kept flashing info on the screen. It drove me nuts so I turned it off. I wasn't sure which ones to allow or which ones to delete. It was all a bunch of mumble jumble to me - so I uninstalled it. I might re-install it once I feel more comfortable.

I too was using Windows 2000 Pro, but decided to upgrade for the visual effects. It was a tough decision because Win2k is a great operating system (probably the best) and I had heard nothing but bad things about Win XP. I gave it a shot, knowing I could re-install Windows 2000 if I didn't like XP. All I can say is 3 months later, I am still using XP and I love it!! I would not go back to Win 2000. I have been looking very hard for this toon-xp leak and I have yet to find it on the net. I went and bought toon-xp as soon as it was available, but was curious to see what site was offering it for free. I even went on warez, but that site is such crap! It's just a bunch of useless popups and so much pornography.
