Ok, so maybe the 1000 level is low and too easily attained, so why not set the first shield at 5000, 50,000, 100,000, 500,000, & 1,000,000? We all realize that a DX Theme, WB, or IP are gonna move up the chart (so to speak) a lot quicker than say a widget. Or am I wrong concerning that?

First, this is my last thread for the day, I promise. Now, on the old site you read a thread and then you left. If there were additional posts to that thread when you came back to read it again it would just to the last post you read. On this site it doesn't seem to be doing that--at least no for me. Do I need to enable some cookies or something. It can be kinda hard remembering where you left off, especially if you're follwing several t

I was just wondering if there are any plans to update ThemeManager to support winamp 3/5 skins or widgets? I hope so. It would be nice if these elements too could be supported, 'cause I'm lovin' being able to click on a theme and have all the elements loaded without having to put it all together when I want a change of scenery.

For the past 2 or 3 updates of SDC I have not been able to read the discussion group on SDC(presently I am at vr. 2.02.312), I always have to go to the website to view/read the disccussion groups. Also, I can't see the libraries. It's gotten to the point that I'm using SDC just to update software. Anyway, I just want to know if it's only me or is everyone else having the same problems?

This is just my opinion, and I have not uploaded anything yet, but I think that 1000 is a good starting point simply because it give the first-time skinner a sense of accomplishment. It's fairly easy to acheive, but provides encouragement and motivation to keep going, which is very important if the next shield won't be received until you hit 100,000 or even 10,000 dl's. Just my 2¢. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/smile.gif" border

Yeah, I can just see myself trying to justify the cost to the wife. I hope it comes with a heating element, 'cause that's the ONLY way I'd be able to keep warm at night.

I thought that I had posted this earlier, but I can't find it, so if this is a double post forgive me. To quote marty robbins, I live "out in the west texas town of el paso, I fell in love with a mexican giiirrL" Don't know the rest of the song but that's the part that applies to me.

THe first I ever used was a Radio Shack TRS-80 (affectionatly called the Trash 80, remember?) back in high school, then I owned a computer with a dx2-80 processor with 32megs and a 1GB HDD which was handed down to me by a good friend (think I still have the board around here somewhere). When I get my income taxes back, I hope to jump from an Intel 300MHz to at least a 2400+ AMD brain. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/congrats.gif" border

Concerning Natural Desktop, is there a shareware version available? I'd like to try it before deciding to purchase it. That's worked out well for me with WB, Iconpackager, DesktopX, etc. I eventually was moved to buy an OD subscription. So, it would be nice to give it a try before I just jumped in, since I like to change my desktop with some frequency (at least weekly). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi

Citizen Ike, try this: Open up the CursorXP Configuration panel, click the button labeled 'configure' just below the Theme Drop-down Box, then near the bottom of the Configuration Dialog there is another button labeled 'configure', click it (in order to click the button you may need to click on the check box to the left of it). Click the 'Normal' tab, this will give you different options that you can adjust. I believe that the 'Animation' heading will allow you to adjust the animati

This is slightly off topic, but what type of mail service or protocol does Hotmail use? If I will be unable to use OE to read my mail then I may start using the mail servi e that's included with my ISP. Then I'd be able to use the mail checking widgets I find here.
