Before turning off the sound I would get 0 or -1 in all games running on very low graphics. Now the I put /nosound in the target I can easily run 40+fps for most of the match with 4xAA and high details and terrain. I am actually fine playing without the sound but it HAS to be the problem. Running dual core 4200+AMD Athlon 64 X2 9800GT 3GB Ram 20mb fiber optic connection.
the thing is that it helps for the online part also not just for LAN.
Okay this isn't a 100% thing yet but me and my friends have been trying to connect to each other since release but just haven't been able to get one game going. Then we tried using hamachi, but instead of going to local network we used it online and we could connect to each other within seconds. We were able to play several games today for the first time and the only difference was us using hamachi. I have the same processor and mine runs at about 40-50fps with the /nosound. ran at about 15 with sound. I 3gb ram and 9800gt tho. The processor can handle the game.

I had been playing fine until today where my game crashes and vid card driver resets. I turned the settings down and it still crashes so idk. Im installing the newest nvidia drivers atm hope that works.
