I was actually rather sad when I uninstalled WB and some of my other Stardock products but I knew it was the right thing to do with a brand new OS coming up. I am now using Start 10 (latest download) which is working beautifully. My Start Menu looks great! I wish there was a way to make my taskbar look as good as my Start Menu. It would wonderful if there was an app to fix that darned taskbar OR is there way to change the default black to another color? A

I agree totally, Jaffo. It seems like they were really rushing to get Windows 10 out. They were pretty blunt about acknowledging the failure of Windows 8. Loving Start 10 and my system looks decent again. Like one other person said, it does feel rather naked without WindowBlinds but better to get it right. There is a free alternative to Start 10 and I tried it. Finally gave up and bought Windows 10. It fast, easy and those tiles on the left side of the start menu are finally gone. I am hoping that Stardock comes up with a Windows 10 version to change the logon screen and remove the lock screen. There are scripts (apps) and there's well written software. :-)

WindowBlinds 8.2 Problems in WindowBlinds Stardock Forums

Hello everyone. I tried to install the latest version of WindowBlinds on both of my computers at different times with problems both times. The first time I installed the update I was using BitDefender 2012 Internet Security. I am now using BitDefender 2014 Internet Security. Both versions of BitDefender had the same issues with WB 8.2 On my Dell 8300 desktop, 64 bit system, BitDefender found a problem with C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\WindowBlinds\tray64.dll

Thank goodness, I found this thread. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with Icon Handler 5.1 and discovered that the same problem with white icons was reported years ago. In this instance, my Microsoft system icons were fine but my Office 2010 icons were gone as well as some others. Some I was able to restore by right clicking and selecting the appropriate icon but nothing had worked for the Office 2010 icons until I found this thread. I renamed IconHandler to IconHan

The new interface works well although I miss being able to change transparency. :-) I even tried the beta on some legacy blinds and it worked just fine. I am very glad I decided NOT to install Windows 8. It is the first time I have ever skipped a new version of Windows. According to Microsoft, Windows Blue (updated version of 8) will be released in the middle of 2013 and it will be more customizable than the current version. Well, what an interesting thread! I do love my Kindle Keyboard but the ads drove me up the wall. Must be getting old. I am unable to post comments on new submissions - blinds, wallpapers, etc. Also, the emoticons don't show. I am not having problems anywhere else - only on WinCustomize. I have a Dell XPS 8300 running Windows 7 64 bit, 12 GB ram and an NVidia 560 graphics card so not a hardware issue of any kind. I checked security settings and WinCustomize is white listed so I don't think that's the problem either. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]

My temporary solution: Made a shortcut to the CursorFX control panel and pinned it to my Start Menu. Works fine. Checked Startdock Central and could not find the update but it is functional for now. :-)

Well, at least I am not alone. I've all the same problems as everyone else. I just did a clean install of CursorFX 2.11. It worked - but said it was not registered. I found my registration and it would not copy and paste from Stardock Central so I had to type it in by hand. Stardock Central said the registration was successful but now it doesn't work again. I can run the creator and the control panel separately but the main executable file

Wow, great posts on this! I use Revo here as well and uninstalled My Colors which was stil on my system. Like GraveDigger, I recently removed all of the apps that were installed with Impulse and reinstalled them using SDC. I forgot about My Colors though and that is now gone too. I am really liking SDC so far and no problems even if it is still in beta. I hope as time goes on that the SD apps are removed from Impulse entirely to av
