The bigger that maps get, the more heavily dependent on speed and teleportation the gameplay would be. If you thought the massive teleport dependency was bad on a relatively small map, imagine how bigger maps would be, where the only way to get from point A to point B efficiently was teleportation?

Less units onscreen also means less problems with computer performance. There was somewhat of a skill element in "sorting out the chaos", however, that some people appreciate while others don't like it. It's a trade-off, really. Less units means more Demigod on Demigod action, which is what is preferable, but also certain Demis can't quite function without creep cover, such as Regulus. Ultimately ,however, it would leave all of the Demis to need certain sta

I agree with you on that one. It seems like the less AoE you have, the more you die to the masses. Also there's so much going on in the game that once you get to a certain point, your Demi takes over and it's no longer your ability that determines the outcome. However, there are particular items that prevent the masses from harming your hero. Namely Plate Mail of the Crusader and Groffling Plate. The only Demi that is "typically" getting these items is The Rook, which is why many people

The only Demi that manages to kill Angels is QoT. Even then it doesn't seem aesthetically sound, spikes hitting angels and all. Also those reflection-type armors would eventually kill the angels if they were to aim Demis, right? And Reg's AoE/regular attack kills angels too. Either way if not for the angels, the end of the game would come much later, giving an unfair advantage to some Demis that are damn near unstoppable late game.

I really LOL'd hard at HBALRTRPTSG. Therefore, I voted for it. Hahaha. Otherwise, I think your blog got the point across well for the general idea of Demi. Keep up the good work =)

Yes, this has happened to me, only with the warp (short range teleport) mechanic. Extremely frustrating, and since teleporting is pretty intriguing to me and has a large effect on my gameplay personally, I will wait until 2D comes out to play with others. However, if another forced menu comes up, I think it should at least return the mouse to normal or add a hotkey to close forced menus in the future.

It seems like the Dev's have a solid image of where they want this to go. People that are attempting to make this game more DotA-like are going to be sadly disappointed as they are just tired of hearing that argument. More importantly we need to find out what the Dev's want and do our best as beta testers to facilitate their needs. Remember, it's their game, not ours. We're enjoying the fruits of their labor. As for the general-assassin diversification, though it se

There should be some limits, but we should probably wait until Beta3 to decide that. If everyone agrees on certain options (example being a multi Reg team if Reg multisnipe damage was a diminishing return or complete inability to multi-snipe altogether) or Favor items (certain ones are useful all game whereas others are only useful at a particular point in the game , such as the health potion or the regen aura) which could be free for the duration of the tourna

Some problems I'm seeing as far as gameplay (some are repetitions of other people's problems, I am simply reaffirming their concerns): -QoT splash is pretty negligible in Closed Form. -QoT minions' line damage not well defined. -Hammer slam AoE not well defined- somewhat of a "line" of full damage emits from it (which makes a lot of sense, really, but it doesn't seem intended) -Orb of Veiled Storms use effect not doing anything. -Max move

It doesn't seem like such a bad idea to have a kestrel beta update news section of the Demi site. ..though I'd go for the cooking tips...

QoT is terribly underused, yet terribly powerful. There are actually so many ways to play her it startles me how other demis aren't as versatile. Mainly this is due to her form switch, which is fairly essential to running an effective QoT. QoT can: Knock out a push wave in an instant, no matter what the size. With certain items, literally NO creep no matter how upgraded can survive. Outrange and outdamage Regulus in single target attacks via compo

Can't run the game, I get an error message like this : "Hardware based instancing required. Please ensure system has current video drivers." Upon updating the driver to the highest allowed by my graphics card, I still get the same error message. (My specs are VERY low end. This computer is five years old, damnit >_ My OS: Windows XP Professional 510 MB RAM. (spiffy? Hell yes. those are MEGABITES. Remember those?) 1GB free disk
