while I admit, I apreciated the FS nerdgasm when 3 cains were able to blow my Orion to bits, but I still felt a litte "Hey, I spent more money on that thing than those 3 ships put together, I don't apreciate that very much." Perhaps you could make the Shivan ships lots more expensive. That would also do a Good job of sticking with what we knew as well. They celebrated the Destruction of a Deamon cruiser because there were only so many that they had to destroy, right.</p

Were the models ripped from FS1 Directly, if so, I would recoment setting the current High Def models on the cap ships and cruisers to med-high def and use the FS2 Open from here http://www.hard-light.net/ as the models for the High def cap ships. I say this because they were really good and well done. I would also like to point out that the Athena seems to be flying nose down, it kind of bugs me a little bit. The shivans are also way too powerful, It cost me 5

After Playing a full game as the Klingons (huge multi) and a full games as fedys (Same map) I can say that It was indeed more balanced than It had first appeared (sorry [e digicons]:-"[/e] ). That Said, I still advocate slowing down the battles. I saw my Sovy take on a Galaxy, 2 Akiras, and a Defient with 3 Exelsiors. To sum it up, two of my Exels blew up, both the Akiras spun out of control and died, the Defient ran right up infront of my Sovy and blew up into tiny peices (it was rather com

On the matter of ships in general, I feel like it would be apropriat to ramp up their toughness while doing something to make them a big investment. Perhaps making build times much longer would help (tell me how to do this and I will test it out myself). I felt that the cap ships worked farely well, though they do need some special abilities. Alot of the TEC and Advent ones look like they would work well, just put different names and explanasions on them. Additionally,

I think that there needs to be a big extention on how long it takes to build ships, while making them all tougher in a fight. I also noticed that the fedys seem to expand faster than the Klingons, you may want to make some adjustmants on that so that the klingons can keep up with them.

Any possibility that you could add simple textures to the IN ships that are up. I would love to get a better view of the model but the black silohuet kills it for me. Also, I would recomend re including the models for structures, construction craft, and colonizers since it won't kill apearence to much, and they may not change at all anyways.
Quoting Major Stress, reply 13When i saw ENT use a Ktinga model in unexpected, that was all she wrote for me with the show. Yea yea i know it was supposed to be John Eaves D-4, but the model wasnt ready yet yada yada. I think I had already given up on Enterprise by that point (it pretty much just took sitting through Broken Bow to do that) but having looked up the D-4 on Ex-Astris-Scientia.org, it looks nearly identical to the D-7 an

My focus is quality not quantity. If that quality takes longer to do then so be it. I already have models for the Fed stations and shipyards, but i need to work them over myself to be sure there are no mesh errors, and to make any other changes needed to properly import them. That takes lots of time to do eve

Stress, I'm not gonna lie, once 0.03 is done you should probably consider merging with whatever group is working on this for you buildings and such. Things have a strange way of going faster the more people you have working on the different problems.
Will there be a way to adjust the max fleet sizes down? In the star trek universe ships cost a crapload more to produce and maintain, so fleet sizes are much smaller.
I don't know if this has carried over from the original demo, but ships had some big supplyl costs. That basically had the effect you are looking fore. I personaly was satisfied with it, the fleets could look big, but they werent the fill the sky d

Definently balance, but within reason. Even in the show, none of the races had an advantage over another that wasn't depreciated by some weakness. Thats basically what this game needs. But as far as ships are conserned, balance definetly, hell, maybee it would be funny watching the supposed 'god' ship that is the defiant get killed by a posse of BoPs
