Did you catch Obama's comment about how the Republicans are calling him a socialist probably because he shared his toys in kindergarten?
Crucify the man for trying some humor, geesh. You see KFC, people are looking at it all wrong. Socialism is, at it's basis, not evil as it's made out to be. We've got socialism here in the US. Socialism in the US was originally intended as a leg up, and started around the 1850s. Check out my reply to lul in MasonMs
I didn't like the fact we were all "forced" to look at Obama last night. We had no choice but to either watch him or turn him off. Maybe, just maybe we didn't want our regularly scheduled programs to be pre-empted. It was like in your face last night. Am I the only one who thought like this?
KFC, you weren't forced; welcome to capitalism and free will. You could've turned it off and gone and done something else, or changed the channel.
Karl Marx and Frederick Engels were the fathers of modern Socialism and as a system, it has not and will never work. Why?..... because it ultimately leads to atheistic Communism. You do remember the former name of Russia don't you....the Union of the Socialist Soviet Republic.
Should I be trembling in my booties? Sorry, but I'm just not terrified about the name, or socialism/communism. Granted, socialism or communism in their pure forms will
You must not actually listen to these guys. They're not angry. Angry is an apt description for the typical left winger. You can't even discuss the issues with them because they often start foaming at the mouth in anger.
If they're not angry, then they must be stupid, insane, fools, ignorant, or all of the above. (I actually listen because I believe in an open mind.) Anyways, that being said, they're all a bunch of loons, right and left.</

You know what's odd, people are screaming and ranting about "Oh no, socialism!"When: 1) It's worked pretty damn well all over the world. 2) We already have socialism in our system, it works, and not one person complains. (Maybe cause they gain? ) Seriously..wtf...
You really need labels? [e digicons]XD[/e]
No actually. I figured it was one of those, but wasn't going to assume. I've seen stranger reasoning.
A big part of the reason politics can bring the worst out in people is that people get too emotionally involved in the issues that they are fighting for. It quickly turns into an us vs. them issue where you are either in 100% agreement with the person (or people) or you must be 100% against (even if you only differ on one little aspect of their issue).
Mmhmm, mindsets like that piss me off. It just isn't about us vs them, it's about our country and what is right f

Jaw drops; proceeds to put it back in place. Looks around for the labels Satire, sardonic, or humor... Uh, okay...wow. I never figured you would vote for him; that being said, congratulations and good luck. You're doing your duty as an an American, voting. [e classic]:congrat:[/e]

Meh, I like to listen to NPR, IndyMedia, Democracy Now, etc.. Oh, have you heard about some young conservatives at Texas A&M throwing eggs at a picture of Obama. Seems a bit disrespectful (stupid even), even if they are "using their first amendment right." Meh, silly college kids.

On the contrary MM; most of us here do care, and your well being is important to us. I've been pretty busy balancing my jobs, school, and other obligations as well as I didn't know how to contact you other than through LW. I've had you in my thoughts and what not since I heard about whats been going on with you. I do hope you got the card I sent. Keep on fightin' man; here's hoping that things turn around quickly. Also, looking at the various polls, it looks that even if McCain keeps the states he's apparently sliding in, gets back the ones he's losing by small margins, and takes Ohio, OR Virginia...he'd till lose, but not by much. I may be wrong, but that's what I've seen after looking around.

My hypothesis is: The sampling being done is in more populated areas, such as Philadelphia, University Park, and all. These places (as far as i've been told) have a tendency for people to be more liberal/democrat, and so it's possible that it just seems like Obama is leading because of the samplings. Though that doesn't necessarily mean Obama is; ID did say they've been over sampling democrats by ~15 points. ~a/r

Mmm, intriguing dream. I've been having this one for the last three years or so. It's where I'm running (Though I don't feel like i am, and nothing visually shows such. I just know I am) after this lucid and vivid blue sapphire ring band. In the distance, always blurred and just ahead of me all the time - is a woman. I can't see the woman, and I have no clue where I am. I think I know what the dream is about, but you never know. I used to have this one dream where I was laying on a sto
