I've gotta concur with you there, ScruffyGuy - I've found after much, much lurking (Enh, nothing to say ^_^) that the blokes here seem to be an okay sort. Also - great to hear it got worked out! About the most I could have offered was "Well, linked my account with no problems, and even updated email addresses without any." which wouldn't have been much help at all! (Hence my usual lurking!) <img src="http://i

Depends, WOM - what kind of 'football'? ^_~
Oooh - nifty. Great work! I'd love to see that same video done with a screen-camera type program - but that was still good. Unfortunately, it's only sold me on Toon-XP more, too! I want those icons!
*looks at the sickeningly odd double post above* Strange... I never even came close to hitting the submit button on that first post. Okay - so maybe it's not too hard to skin for - I've just hard terrible luck with my numerals working properly! So to -me- they would be a pain in the butt. ^_~ (Now, it's time for me to shell out for a Wincustomize subscription, even though I'm between jobs... this is driving me nuts.)
Okay... after about 6 times trying to type this without Opera deleting all of the text in the input box for me: It's most likely "Rainlender" I'd give a URL - but I'm to scared of having to type this all again. ^_^
I'd be willing to be that it's the ever wonderful (if a pain in the butt to skin for,) 'Rainlender' It's.. erm... - wait, how /does/ one post a link here? ^_^ http://vapaa.dc.inet.fi/~rainy/Rainlendar.html (Just a direct cut &
Jafo: Wish I could say that! IE pops the pages up in no time, but Opera 7 b(whatever) doesn't even show 'em at least half the time for me. They load - get to 100% - but the screen stays blank. Sometimes I have the reload a page up to a dozen times to get it to show. All these trying to find some multi-tabbed browsing that doesn't irk me! ^_^ But on the bright side! Much noteably faster
Just to add to the heaps of praise - but I think it looks great! The DesktopX theme reminds me of... ... *blinks* Augh! That game that Sierra did years upon years ago - where you build various Rube Goldbergesque devices. *sighs*
Yes! The message boards are much much faster! Yay! Now Opera can refuse to load them even faster than before! *mutter* One day I'll find a browser I can stand using for more than 10 minutes, I swear...
Hrm - let's see... If I'm working on my notebook either 1024x768 or 1280x1024 (if I've got it hooked up to its external monitor.) If I'm on my desktop, I use 1280x1024 for every day use - but bump it up to 1600x1200 to get any work done. ^_^
Interesting... haven't used IE in so long that I had to bring it up to check - with XP and IE6 on my system, Windowblinds -does- skin scrollbars. What doesn't get skinned for me is the bottom right part of the status bar which says what security zone you're currently in. Now Opera - my Opera scrollbars don't get skinned.
Well, personally, I know LiteStep by many other names - though none of them are really suitable for print! Hrm - suppose that's not much of a help either. ^_~
I believe the 'disable all' checkbox in the CursorXP dialog will let you do this. ^_^ (Weeeeeird - if I move my mouse outside of the message box - Opera erases all of the text I have in it. Eeep.) >
Same here, Kat. I use a Satellite 14xx series, and CursorXP - and it works fine for me. Maybe you accidentally changed one of the touchpad-related settings?
Oh good - the shrinking isn't something just happening to me at least. Fortunately it's no biggie for me to simply exclude it in Windowblinds, I try to keep the Titlebar hidden in it anyway - it disrupts the flow of the skin.
Okay - still playing with it myself - and so far, I have to say, I like! The changes to the default skin make it a lot more appealing to me - and the ability to change the colour of it is great for getting it to match the rest of my desktop. ^_^ Fortunately, I didn't run into any of Barry's problems - installation went without a hitch, and it all runs perfectly. When I saw his comment about CPU useage I got curious and checked - yeah, CPU useage was high - around 40%, but th
Having known people out here who have done both networking and programming for AOL? AOL's programmers are morons who barely know the service or even the OSes they program for.
Christmas? Heh... A new coffee maker (Something I desperately needed!) and a new copy of that really nicely bound edition of Kahlil Gibran's Prophet. Nice, simple, and perfect. ^.^
Ah!! HoverDesk! It's been years since I've used that program - I didn't even think about it! Thanks! (Egads... Mozilla's messing up my input box - I hope this shows up correctly. Now - to go DL HvD and then to go off and see why Mozilla keeps forgetting all of my settings. WHEE!)
Okay, for some reason or another (*ahem* ^_^) I trust the opinions of the people around here (even though all I ever do is lurk,) so I need some help. ^_^ I'm looking for the 'perfect' piece of desktop software for me, and I need some help to know if it even exists! Basically, I want (skinnable, natch,) popup menus on my desktop. Different ones with say, the middle button (I like being able to pop up a task list, a la Litestep or NextSTART,) and right mouse button. Customizable menu
