I think it's perfectly justified to have multiple heroes of the same in a game. Especially since release will have 12 and if a game is 5v5 people I could see getting frustrated never being able to get a hero they want. However thinking further on this makes me think of the game Rise of Legends from microsoft, the game at the time was the top of the game for RTS...unique blend of heroes that leveled accordingly and got new abilities, and the little (and sometimes big) units that followe

It was gonna happen eventually that someone made a standalone game that was very similiar to dota, why not compare the heritage?

I thought a great idea for one of the betas (warhammer online) was they monitored just how many ppl signed up for it... I think it would be a good idea to make the same kind of counter for pre orders unless it's not looking as high as projected, even though we still 2 weeks from just the beta stage yet. Just maybe an idea if the numbers could show a good showing at this point :)

I think it's best to plan ahead, but at the same time know what the game contains before coming up with the details and specifics, but it does sound interesting, I'm a rabid dota player so I'm sure this will be great for ppl who want better graphical version of dota
