interesting thread. Im wondering what upgrades you all buy most often for your advent SB? and how many SBs you buy I tend to go with 3 pts in shield, 2 in lasers, 1 in hangers, 1 in meteor, 1 in disorient. I drop this on a wormhole and nothing gets by it.
I believe that when the stack units option is on, the ship with the most damage is moved to the top of the unit stack (so you can see how bad your unit is damaged). Thats not a solution to your problem, but I wasn't sure if you knew what was going on and why they might seem to jump around a bit (actually, im not sure when the switching occurs, i've just noticed that the one showing has the most damage). As for solutions, well, everyone was telling me to basically create more fleets. s
Iconius Guardian Is there a way to set only 3 of these to activate their shield ability at a time (without going click crazy)? I thought i saw someone use the word macro somewhere and I think and my mind jumped to this. I normally have this ability on auto cast and I see 5 balls on top of one another (dont go there). The above is based off the assumption that 3 at a time is the maximum benifit. Assuming i have alot of guardians, opponent is not disabling abilitie
Just to let you know, im playing a match against 5 AI in the Ancient Gifts scenario. Fleet size is set to huge. I've hit the fleet cap myself, but only have 2 real fleets because the AI have basically all of their ships in 1 fleet. if i try to divide up my forces, i wont stand a chance in a fight. in fact, i've had to use both my fleets in some battles. and they have ALOT of carriers. anyhow, my point is that i play as Advent. thank you all for your responses. I will try all of your suggestions (that tabbing thing i had forgotten about, sounds promising), however it does sound like i cant do what im looking to do. There really should be a way to do this. at the very least, the ship that is the flagship should be at the top of the stack. I guess this did turn out to be the right forum. because theres no way to just do it. you need to use various strategies to get it :p ok, that was lame, i admit it.<
Im not sure if this qualifies as the right forum, but... Im wondering how i can change where a ship is on the stack (on the empire tree). What happens is I have a fleet with Progenitor at the top of the stack. every time i select this fleet, i get the Progenitor's abilities so i dont have to go around selecting/deselecting things mid battle more than neccesary. anyhow, so that Progenitor then occasionally dies. I will announce straight off that I have only played against the AI, so keep that in mind. I have seen they AI do some good stuff with siege frigates. If they bring them with their fleet, it forces you to concentrate on them first while the enemy fleet wipes out your defenses. Having read most of the above posts, im sure some of you would ask why i would bother if they do as little damage as you claim. well, in my experience, they do a considerable amount of damage. only if your plane

Call me old fashioned, but i like to have a box and disc for my games. I want to make sure I can play if my computer spontaneously explodes and i get a new one or have to borrow one or whatever. I even buy a brand new virus software box every year because i dont like the idea of download on top of download on top of download for more than a year. Now, games dont update that much, but still, an expansion is like an update on a disc. And its all fine to say I can come to your site and download
