You never invited me, but i sneaked in through the back door while nobody was looking! I vote no! The Raiders feast on planets that are unprepared for such an attack! Sleepage deserves WHOOPAGE! ;) -Dave

"The Raiders" see great promise in forming an alliance with these odd metal beings. Together we can rule the galaxy and rule with an iron fist!!! and after conquering the galaxy with you....you're gone ;) -Dave

i feel kinda bad that i joined this empire on an invite and never played any metaverse games for it....but that's cause i have my own empire known as "The Raiders" we're ranked 203 cause i've only uploaded 5 or 6 metaverse games -Dave

apparently the devs decided to add the "indestructible" string to those improvements for one reason or another. i guess it's the way they want it to be. you can mod that out by deleting the "indestructible" string from the improvement in the planetimprovements.xml! -Dave
Why don't you go write GalCiv, then?Or, why don't you go play a NORMAL game which a), sucks, b) has no customer support, c) should be in ALPHA, and d), offers NO WHERE NEAR the amount of moddability that GC does.
why are you so pissed off?
I have used them in a couple of games. Once you get spore bombs you're virtually unstopable, as long as you have a reasonable military.
that's the same reason i use them!

when i get around to it, i might just put out a small mod aside from TBL that uses this method for killing the rush. P.S. if anyone wants to join TBL. we're still looking for devs for all jobs because we're only a team of 3 right now. -Dave
Now here's the big problem. I'm not a rusher. it makes my head hurt, and in my humble oppinion either u totally smash through and win quik like or u die. my style is i like to be left alone with my planets and build up and when they finally do come, they can't amass enough of a force to beat my defences(loved doing this in Total annialiation, warcraft 1 and 2 and in conquest frontier wars) I'm not really sure i can do that in here. !-- and --> or whatever they are (dont remember exactly) just mean that the section of XML within the two strings is unused by the engine. by deleting them, the code within that section is then used by the game. stuff like pain amplifiers are improvements that were created and then the devs decided not to use them for one reason or another. So you can enable them or delete them, it's your call. -Dave

i was talking to Cari the other day and we discovered that the engine points to the wrong mod directory. Instead of [mod name]/Data/TechTrees it was loading from [mod name]/TechTrees. so she fixed it. i don't know if the fix was included in beta 6 or not. If not, you could paste the tech trees in a TechTrees folder within the mod's main directory. -Dave
