If I were you guys I would not start pissing off dragons... Lets quietly change the subject....

I also find that trying to play a game the way the odds give them to you to be quite interesting. Just to see and hope to beat the computer when a great disadvantage.
So get this, I cut and pasted this post link and sent it to my work email. From this link I was able to access the site but has soon as I press the link for forum home I get the message service is down for maintenance. The only way I can access a sub forum is through a link otherwise it does not work. Now that is strange.
There's no maintenance currently going on. I'd suggest clearing your browsers cache and cookies.
thats what i did and why i downloaded chrome so i would have a new browser wothout any back date but i still get that maintenace message
i have always were able to access stardock forums through forums.stardock.com, now for the last week or so i get the stardock forums are down for maintenance. i can get on from home and my cell but at work it does not work. both explorer and firefox i even downloaded crome to see and same problem. can anybody help? thanks
Many people buy it when they see the few things that really makes this game hard to play turn around and play something different. I still can,T understand how a company that made Glaciv2 can,T make this game work. The games are almost the same...
I tried the mouse option and I could not make the game scroll from one side to the other. Once removed everything came back to normal. However the pointer thing is still not working properly.
I would not describe the ending of the game horrible, but I have to agree with the OP. The ending cites information that we cannot really relate to. I have no idea how points are calculated. It would be nice to have a list of what gives what points in a game. Does conquering the game give more point than an alliance victory? If the game is calculated in seasons then it should tell you how many seasons it took to win the game. Apples with apples si
Once again I'm very surprised how things are turning out. I'm a big Galactic civ 2 players. I've always thought the diplomacy and AI was very good in that game. Same company and boom all the good stuff is out the window. I can understand that both games are not the same but still some of it does seems similar. I can't see diplomacy being all that different. I hope this is just a question of time issue t
I'm playing medium map with 4 opponents on challenging and I can confirm that this is happening. AI can build anywhere without any reprisal from roving monsters. I have to protect my assets all the time otherwise I will get my a@@ kicked. I remember when I use to play MOM and this would not happen. Roving monsters and lairs would attack the AI. I wonder why Stardock is in denial.

I think of it has something to adapt to. Like I said in another thread my life pursuit will be to kill any Hero wearing it. It's out of principal. If I have an alliance with that avatar I will break it just to make a point.
There is a limit on how many turns can be played? Why would that be in the game anyway?
I tend to agree with the OP but then I remember who and what Stardock is and then I just smile. It's no big deal to me. If the AI shows up with bunny slippers and or a lollipop I will make sure he dies for this affront. :-)
I'm going to try all I have learned this week end. I'm gonna play it on high difficulty and see if I can make sense of it. Thank you all for the information.
Is there a reason why this is not clear? Did Stardock just not say or is the manual outdated? IS there a place where all this information is stored and we can look it up instead of guessing?
All good information. Thanks all. A good example would be great.
it's a bit confusing, Some stop growing right in the middle of a level and there is no warning to that effect. You have to keep an eye on it. Hopefully somebody can answer us.
Thanks to joeball123 I now have a better understanding on how the different towns work. What I need to understand now is food and growth. I see my towns with a food stat and a growth stat and yet I'm not sure how to affect them. Sometimes my cities stop growing because of lack of food. So I build +food cit
Thank you joeball123 that was really enlightening. My understanding of Towns was very limited. This lesson really opened my eyes. Thanks a bunch
Thanks for covering for me... I'm the one who is guilty. I admit it
Man I need to play a lot more.
To each his own I guess.
Why would you want to do that at all?
So is this a fix problem now?
